Every child is wealthy in more ways than one.

Money is only one kind of wealth—and it's rarely the kind that shapes a life most. At Whole-Wealth Kids, we make creative books and tools that help families grow all six kinds, from a child's very first letters to the everyday rhythms of home.

Feeling deeply and safely: naming emotions, keeping ourselves and others safe, practicing vulnerability, and learning to set and honor boundaries—our own and others'. Developing and practicing emotional resilience regardless of our circumstances.

Physical

Stewarding the body we're given—and the things we create, buy, or are given—as vital resources: caring for them as well as our circumstances allow (without becoming anxious about what we cannot control).

The patience and diligence to keep learning: building whatever skill or knowledge comes next, one honest effort at a time. Having the belief that any skill or knowledge can be learned with enough help and time and that no knowledge gained is wasted.

Living in reciprocity and belonging: keeping our word, working alongside others, and knowing that relationships and community are among our greatest resources—and that we're made for work and joy together, not alone.

Lily's Learning Letters

Letters that mean something are letters that stick.

A read-aloud alphabet book that turns all 52 letterforms into pictures children already know and love—an apple for "a," a drum for "d," a grape on a vine for "g." Instead of memorizing abstract shapes, your child recognizes friends and toys they can play with.

  • Built for transfer. Every mnemonic is drawn in the letter's own thin stroke form—the same shape they'll meet in books, on signs, and in their own handwriting.
  • Uppercase & lowercase share one idea. Each pair is the same concept in two sizes, so learning one teaches the other.
  • Every letter has two voices. Lowercase verses speak in your child's voice; uppercase verses speak in yours—so reading together becomes a conversation.

Written for 2½-year-old Lily, who went from recognizing zero letters to loving, playing with, and mnemonically naming all 52 in about four months. For all ages, and especially ages 2–5.

About the author

Hi, I'm Ashley.

Whole-Wealth Kids started at home—on the living room floor, at the kitchen counter, in the car—in the small, ordinary moments where character is quietly built. I'm a curriculum designer, financial-literacy educator, and mom, and this work grew out of my own family's ongoing journey to notice, care for, and delight in the people and things around us. I don't have it all figured out—we're learning as we go—but that's rather the point.

My background is in business, education, and design—I led the design for a full high-school financial-literacy curriculum, created materials and led teacher trainings that reached over 100 educators, co-directed an international conference, and studied and taught multiple foreign languages. If I can teach these fundamentals to teenagers, I'm convinced we can plant the very same seeds—stewardship, patience, wise care of what we're given—in our littlest ones, in ways they'll actually love.

That's what everything here is really about—a bigger picture of wealth than money alone: the emotional, physical, mental, social, financial, and spiritual kind. Every book and tool is one we're growing right alongside our own family, an invitation to help yours grow all of it too—in your own way, and on your own timeline.
